With a few different operators in the mix, it can be a little confusing when you are trying to plan your trip.
We hope that the following information will help you plan your day a little more easily.
Diving is available as an optional extra to the Fly out / Cruise home day tour, but is not available as part of the Cruise out / Fly home day tour.
Diving on the Fly out / Cruise home Day Tour
First things first, you need to book your helicopter. For information, prices and bookings please contact Hamilton Island Air on (07) 4969 9599.
Once you have made your helicopter booking you can arrange diving with Reef Safari by emailing info@reefsafari.com or calling (07) 4946 4766. You must submit your medical form to us at least 24 hours in advance in order to confirm your spot.
You will be arriving at the pontoon after the days diving has commenced. Dive briefings must be arranged one-on-one, once you arrive.
If you have booked one of these dives, please make your way over to the dive area as soon as you arrive at the pontoon so that the dive supervisor can tell you your time.
You will pay for the dives on board the vessel on the journey home from the pontoon.
Want to do a scuba dive and a helicopter scenic tour whilst at the pontoon?
If you wish to take part in a shorter scenic helicopter tour whilst at the pontoon (as part of the standard Cruise Both Ways tour) and want to do a dive, you can do this. You can pre-book your dive with Cruise Whitsundays or you can book it on the journey out to the pontoon directly with the dive team. To do a helicopter tour and a dive on the same day you will need to liaise with our dive manager on duty to ensure you are given a dive time that is after your helicopter tour. Please let our dive team know, on the day, if you plan to do both options.
Please contact info@reefsafari.com with any questions you may have.
